We are looking for a Data Analyst that will be responsible for supporting all the data needs of various departments of the company (sales, acquisition, operations, etc.). The job functions include, but are not limited to developing complex MS SQL Server queries for data extraction and reporting, performing data conversions (ETL) from several data sources, developing necessary SQL for loading, and updating and maintaining data tables. Also, trouble-shooting data file related issues, and quality control. Our expectations are high and critical thinking ability is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Retrieve data from various sources and prepare data for analysis
- Work on data manipulation and extraction using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 2012
- Quality Assurance - Verify accuracy of data pulled and revise methods of data retrieval by following a standard process
- Perform internal audits: gather data from various sources/applications and databases to validate audit steps performed; evaluate quality assurance
- Develop complex SQL queries against various data and computer sources including complex Sub queries, correlated queries, and nested queries
- Compile and prepares reports of data developed
- Support business area projects by applying general knowledge of the business area processes including best practices
- May provide data and respond to questions to external groups/agencies/vendors
- Write queries and stored procedures in SQL, export data into Excel, CSV, pipe delimited, JSON files; review them for quality and data integrity, and send them to internal clients or external agencies
- Combine data files for use in suppression or enrichment (combining different output formats to aid in targeting)
